High Adventure Treks - HATS

At High Adventure Treks, our mission is to grow relationships, communication, and leadership
through Adventure with our Dads.

We believe that when dads and their daughters and sons step outside their comfort zones together, they build unbreakable bonds and gain lifelong skills. Through outdoor challenges, teamwork, and leadership training, we create experiences that foster confidence, resilience, and connection.

From rugged hikes to our transformative Wilderness Leadership Academy (WLA), every HATS adventure is designed to inspire personal growth and leadership that extends beyond the outdoors. Whether navigating obstacles on the trail or in life, HATS equips young people with the tools to lead with courage, integrity, and purpose.

Fifty-two dads and daughters had packed an unbelievable amount of gear into 26 canoes and paddled 8 miles to a sandy island on the Brazos River. Read More
Dear Daddy, You know on the HATS campout two weeks ago Mr. Murray had us ask questions? Well one of them was “What do you admire the most about your dad?” I never answered that one. I feel really bad about it because you probably think it’s because I couldn’t think of anything good about you. It wasn’t! It was because I was crying and I couldn’t answer. Well, I decided to answer it now. Read More
Thank you so much for allowing me and my dad the chance for such an extraordinary experience, which was the final camp out for HATS. I can’t even begin to tell you what an affect it had on not only my relationship between me and my dad, but also between me and the Lord. When your body and mind are enduring something as physically and mentally straining as this backpacking trip was, one can no longer look to their own self; they need to swallow their pride and ask God for His guidance and reassurance.
